Nathan Soric is an emerging clarinetist based in the New York metropolitan area.
As a soloist, Mr. Soric was named a finalist in the Lewitus Clarinet Competition at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee (2026) and the University of Delaware Concerto Competition in consecutive years (2022, 2023). He has appeared as both a soloist and chamber musician at numerous featured concerts with the Oyster Bay Music Festival on Long Island, NY, including a performance of Carl Maria von Weber’s Concertino in E-flat Major, Op. 26.
Mr. Soric has held principal and assistant principal positions in leading ensembles at both of his academic institutions. Notable performances include appearances with the Boston Conservatory Symphony Orchestra at Symphony Hall and Jordan Hall. He is also a founding member of The PRISMA Project, an orchestra dedicated to reimagining chamber works in an orchestral setting.
An avid chamber musician, Nathan has performed extensively in a variety of ensembles. Most recently, his piano quartet was selected multiple times to perform in the Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Gen Z Honors Concert. He has furthered his studies at international summer festivals, including the Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival and the British Isles Music Festival.
Mr. Soric is currently pursuing a Professional Diploma in Clarinet Performance at the Mannes School of Music, where he studies with Jon Manasse. He holds a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where he studied with YaoGuang Zhai, Principal Clarinet of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and was a Named Scholar of the Ricardo and Marla Lewitus Endowed Scholarship. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from the University of Delaware as a Distinguished Music Scholar, studying with Dr. Christopher Nichols.
